About Bzah

Founded by Neil Addison. Twenty years of understanding what makes businesses tick — and helping them communicate it properly.

Why this exists

I've spent the best part of two decades creating content for businesses of every description. Manufacturers and solicitors, plumbers and architects, restaurants and engineering firms, recruitment agencies and independent retailers. Some of them household names, most of them not. The work has always been the same at its core: figure out what makes a business genuinely good at what it does, and find the clearest way to communicate that to the people who need to hear it.

What struck me, over and over again, was the gap between quality and visibility. Some of the best-run businesses I've encountered have the worst marketing. Not because they can't afford it, but because they've never had the time or the inclination to sort it out. They're too busy doing the actual work — the work their customers already value — to worry about how they come across online. Meanwhile, less capable competitors with better websites are picking up the phone calls that should be going to them.

Bzah is my way of doing something about that. I take the skills and instincts I've developed across hundreds of projects and apply them directly to businesses that would benefit most: established operations with proven expertise and loyal customers, whose marketing simply doesn't reflect how good they actually are.

What I actually do differently

Most marketing services start by asking what you want. I start by looking at what you've already got. Your reviews, your reputation, the way your customers talk about you, the things your competitors are failing to do. That research happens before we ever speak, and it's how I'm able to send you content that feels like it was written by someone who understands your business — because by that point, I do.

The breadth of experience matters here. Having worked across so many different sectors means I don't arrive with a template or a set of assumptions about your industry. I arrive with a way of seeing what's distinctive about a business and knowing how to frame it. A joiner has different strengths to an accountant, and a good restaurant tells its story differently from a heating engineer. The underlying principle is always the same — find the genuine substance and present it clearly — but the execution is always specific to you.

I also don't believe in ongoing dependency. You receive finished content that you own and control. If you want more later, you know where to find me. But you're never locked in, never reliant on me to post on your behalf, and never wondering what you're paying for. It's straightforward because it should be.

The numbers, briefly

I've been freelancing professionally since the mid-2000s. For the past six years I've worked through Upwork, where I hold Top Rated Plus status — their top 1% designation, based on sustained client satisfaction and earnings. I'm also part of their Expert-Vetted programme, which is an invitation-only tier for proven specialists.

What those numbers actually mean in practice: clients come back. Over forty completed engagements with a consistent 5.0 rating and more than £170,000 in verified earnings. The repeat business and the ratings matter more to me than the titles — they mean the work lands and people are happy with the results.
